Serge Van de Put (1958) is mainly a self-educated person. He enjoyed a training in publicity to the S.I.S.A, in Antwerp and was some years operative as a draughtsman at NEOREC lightpublicity, before setting up his own company specialised in fontagraphy and decoration. Drawing and sketching were always his favourite occupations and the step to carving and the development to become a full-time artist was inevitable. Creativity and diversity stand thereby in the centre, thus we find him during the summer months generally to the work in sunny harbours, where he designs theatre sceneries for an organisation that arranges club-holidays, but where he goes especially also in search to inspiration and subjects for new sculptures. |
